Oleskey, Donna J. (Bernardo), 83, Johnstown, died Aug. 26, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center with her family by her side. Born July 8, 1934, in Sagamore, PA, daughter of the late John E. and Helen (Lecorchick) Bernardo. Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur K. Oleskey who was her beloved husband of 57 years. Art was and is the love of her life. She leaves her three children, John King Oleskey and wife, Mary Reckner, Davidsville; Rebecca and husband, Brad Fell, Longmont, CO; and Arthur Oleskey and wife, Emily Otto, Gettysburg; six grandchildren, Megan Oleskey, Maggie Fell, Katelyn Oleskey, Thomas Oleskey, Jake Fell, and Joseph Oleskey; and brother, Peter Bernardo. Donna attended secretarial college and was an executive secretary for Alcoa in New Kensington, PA when she met and married Art. Donna and Art raised their children in Lower Burrell and spent a short time in Norristown, NJ before retiring to Davidsville. Donna was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. She doted on her grandchildren and was an avid reader of all genres. Donna loved to dance, play softball as a star shortstop, and have fun. She was an accomplished cook and baker providing many cookies and nutrolls for weddings, showers, baptisms, and graduation parties. At Donna’s request, there will be no service or viewing. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her these past two years.
