Obituary

Brunnet, Dorothy Elizabeth, 99, Portage, went to be with the Lord September 19, 2021. Born in Boltz, PA on February 20, 1922. Preceded in death by parents, Philip and Anna (Koontz) Brunnet; brothers, Carl; Arthur (POW/MIA); Andrew; Emil; and sisters, Margaret Jacejko; Hazel and Kathleen Brunnet; and Virgina Schaffranek. Survived by sister, Carol Jones, Portage; brother, Edwin, Newtown; daughter, Victoria Lipsinic (Dennis), Portage; granddaughters, Tina Dallape (James), Richland; Amanda Lipsinic (Jeff Stager), Portage; Great grandchildren, Carissa Bost (Ryan), Pittsburgh; Lauren, James, and Sophia Dallape; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dororthy loved playing the harmonica and entertained residents at local nursing homes throughout the years. She was an avid volunteer at the Portage Senior Center spending countless hours giving her time. In her younger years, Dorothy worked locally as a housekeeper and devoted her remaining time to family and friends. Dorothy was proud to be a great-grandmother and will always be remembered for passing down family stories of days gone by. We will forever treasure the memories and the time we had together. At Dorothy’s request, there will be a private family gathering and burial.
