Obituary

Altemus, Dorothy F., 92, Johnstown, died November 15, 2016 at the Allegany Lutheran Home.  Born October 11, 1924 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Robert F. and Lyda A. (Hileman) Thompson.  Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Albert W. Altemus, 9 brothers and 5 sisters.  Survived by children, Linda J. Thompson and husband, James, of Johnstown, Clinton W. Altemus and wife, Joan, of Johnstown, Keith Altemus and wife, Sue, of Windber; Kenneth A. Altemus and wife, Kim, of Mundy’s Corner, Lisa F. Altemus of Johnstown; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.   Dorothy was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  Friends received Saturday, Nov. 19 from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m., Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave., Pastor David Bunnell and Pastor Donald Peters, co-officiating.
