Dorothy L. Colbert, 95 “Nettie”; Passed away peacefully in Hastings on December 4, 2015. Born December 6, 1919. Daughter of Edna (Chapman) and Gustav Dewey Anderson. Preceded in death by parents, husband Ross, brothers Gustav (Dewey), Richard (Dick), Charles (Chuck), sisters Florence Owens and Orpha Boyles. Survived by sister Nancy Griffin (Cliff), daughters Patsy Colbert and Susan Kelly (Joseph).  5 Grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren.  She obtained a Masters Degree from Dyke University and taught for over 50 years at multiple universities and schools. Dorothy retired from the Greater Johnstown Vo-Tech at the age of 84. Dorothy was a member of the Teachers Association, Eastern Star, Hastings United Methodist Church, and attended Emmanuel Baptist when she lived in Johnstown. She had a loving and generous spirit and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Special memory wishes to her beloved friends and care takers. Friends will be received Monday, December 7, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, Hastings. Funeral Services will be held at Hastings United Methodist Church at 11 am, Tuesday December 8. Pastor Linda Lacovic and Pastor Gary Tustin Officiating.
