Westover, PA – Dorothy M. Jacobs, 65, of Westover died Friday September 10, 2021 at UPMC Altoona. Born October 20, 1955 in Spangler; she was a daughter of Lewis and Alice (Helsel) Blake. She is preceded in death by her father and son-in-law, Benjamin Snyder. Dorothy is survived by her mother, Alice Blake, Westover; children, Wayne Jacobs Jr. (Elizabeth), Emeigh, Gregory Jacobs, Westover, Joseph Jacobs (Monica), Naples, FL, Jennifer Snyder, Johnstown; grandchildren, Jonathan, Nicole, Matthew, Quentin and Magnolia; loving boyfriend, Robert Shrefler, Johnstown; sisters, Carol Merrick, CA, Mary Lou Merrick (Michael), CA; bothers, Charles Blake (Deb), Westover, George Blake (Amanda), GA; many nieces and nephews. Throughout the years, Dorothy had worked at an Eye Doctor’s office in Altoona, was a child care provider and worked in the cafeteria for Harmony School District. She was a member of Golden Age. Dorothy’s family will remember her for being kindhearted and always putting others first. She loved and will be missed by her family, grandchildren, and fur babies. Friends will be received at the Easly Hindman Funeral Home Inc, 333 Beaver St., Hastings on Thursday September 16, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Visitors are asked to wear masks.
