Hoover, Edford J. “Ed”, 80, Johnstown, died May 5, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. Born Aug. 24, 1935 to the late Elbert and Martha (Bargent) Hoover. Preceded in death by sisters, Geneva and Edith; and brother, Buford. Survived by daughter, Linda Somerville, (Brian); granddaughters, Carolyn, Taylor, and Alana Somerville; and good friends, Tim and Patty Hyland. Ed was a veteran of the United States Navy. Before joining the Navy, Ed lived in Beckley, West Virginia. He retired from Cambria County Central Park Complex as a transportation driver and also from Mercy Hospital, maintenance/boiler room. Friends will be received Mon. May 9 from 4:30 p.m. until time of service at 5:30 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave. Pastor Wayne Ayer, officiating. Military rites to follow. Special thanks to DaVita Dialysis and Med Van drivers for all the care and attention they gave to Ed.
