Dynice, Edward F., 89, Johnstown, passed away February 10, 2018. Born September 28, 1928 in Detroit, MI. Son of the late Anthony and Magdeline (Mider) Dynice. Preceded in death by parents; loving wife, Eileen (Curry) Dynice; son-in-law, Bryan Gates; brother, John Dynice; and sister, Catherine Pierce. Survived by daughter, Karen Dynice, Pittsburgh; daughter, Kristine Dynice-Gates, Painesville, OH; brothers, Anthony and Casmir Dynice, both of Johnstown; granddaughter, Kathleen Gates, Johnstown; and niece, Nikki Dynice, Johnstown. Edward proudly served our country in the U.S. Army and retired as a coal miner from Bethlehem Mines. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 155 and Richland American Legion. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Ed enjoyed hunting and fishing in PA, Ohio, and the wilds of Alaska and Montana. Family and friends will be received Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Franktown Rd., where a memorial service will follow, Deacon Michael Russo Officiating. Military honors by VFW Post 155. Interment at Richland Cemetery following the service, with a luncheon at the Richland American Legion afterward. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to AseraCare Hospice at 100 CTC Dr. #110, Johnstown, PA 15904.
