Boothman, Edwin James Jr.- 66, Johnstown, Entered the Gates of Heaven on May 3, 2019, quietly in his bed, sometime during the night. He was born at Miners Hospital in Spangler, PA to Dolores Ann (Lacey) and Edwin James Boothman Sr. on November 13, 1952. After graduation from Johnstown High School he went to Canada to school, and there he learned to build log houses and then moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico to build houses. He was successful for ten years, when he developed epilepsy and came back to Johnstown to have surgery and was unable to return to work again. Eddie was happy to be back in Johnstown. He loved being with old friends and living here near family. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed hiking, he was a good cook, and loved good music. Edwin is survived by his mother; his three sisters, Jane Sherer (Mel), Nancy Hazel (Don) and Bonita Boothman. Arrangements in care of Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., “Exclusive Provider of Veterans & Family Memorial Care.” Condolences may be made at HindmanFuneralHomes.com
