Tarbay, Elaine R., 78, of Johnstown, passed away on April 22, 2023. Born on January 15, 1945, to the late Dorsey and Agnes (Varner) Kaufman. Preceded in death by loving husband of 52 years, Francis Tarbay; stepdaughter, Frances Tarbay; and granddaughter, Cheryl Fern. Survived by sons, Jeffrey and Mark; daughter, Jennifer (Kenneth); sisters, Delores, Betty, Carol, and Linda; stepdaughters, Mary Ann, Nancy, Sharon, and Donna; stepson, Thomas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elaine was a member of the West Taylor Ladies Auxiliary. In her free time, she volunteered at Johnstown’s senior center and handicapped association. Elaine enjoyed playing bingo and cards. She loved watching her grandchildren grow and play. Elaine will be deeply missed by her friends and family. Friends and family will be received on Friday, April 28^th from 4-8pm at Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, 856 Benshoff Hill Rd., Johnstown, PA 15906. A service will be held on Saturday, April 29^th at 10am at Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren.
