Galayda, Elizabeth “Lil”, 91, Conemaugh Twp., died Oct. 10, 2017. Born in Franklin Boro on Feb. 8, 1926 to the late Edward “Whitey” and Anna (Centrich) Gartrell Sr. Preceded in death by husband, Rudy Galayda Sr.; daughter, Bonnie Lee Hunter; son-in-law, Craig Hunter; brothers, James and Paul, and sister, Madelin “Toots” Siplivy. Survived by sons, Skip married to Sharon Erzal, Johnstown; Keith married to Elaine Ceglar, Alexandria, VA; daughter, Pamela married to Paul Missineo, Springfield, VA; grandchildren, Kimberly Galayda; Christopher and Joshua Novosel; Jason Hunter; Monica (Hunter) Fish; Skylar Galayda; great grandchildren, Hope Galayda; Mason and Patrick Novosel; Jared and Natalie Fish; Aubrey and Avery Novosel; Dottie and Zoey Hunter; great great grandchildren, Hayden and Ella Galayda; siblings, Barbara Hurtack; George Gartrell (Shirley); Diana Rzeszut (Edward); Edward Gartrell Jr. (Delores); Joan Rzeszut (Charles); Victor Gartrell (Kathryn); Evelyn Rzeszut; Erna Kaminski (Paul); and many nieces and nephews. Lil was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration, formally Sacred Heart Church of Conemaugh. Friends will be received Fri. Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. Mass to follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Church of the Transfiguration. Interment at Grandview Mausoleum.
