85, South Fork, passed away December 7, 2019 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born June 8, 1934 to the late Elmer G. and Isabella (McDonald) Miller Sr. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Roseann (Lopresti); and all of his siblings, making him the last surviving member of his family. Survived by children, Christine Serre (John), Monica Gillman (Russ), Karen Lester (Dan), Janice Smolko (Joe), Jeanette Stahr (Steve), and Dan Miller (Denise); 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother in law, Jim Lopresti; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and other family & friends. Bud served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam, and was retired from Bethlehem Steel, where he worked as a crane operator. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, working around the house, donating blood, and bowling with “The Metro Miner”, and most importantly, spending time with his family. He was a member of St. John Gualbert service group. Friends and family will be received on Thursday December 12, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Road, Johnstown. A funeral mass will be held Friday December 13. 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. John Gualbert Church, Very Rev. James. F. Crookston, officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bud may be made to Arbutus Park Manor or Windber Hospice. Bud will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
