DeAngelo, Emma L., 96, Johnstown, passed away December 3, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center. Born September 25, 1924 to the late George and Katherine (Urbassik) Hritz. Preceded in death by husband, Larry Jay DeAngelo; brothers, Thomas, George, and Walter; and sisters, Anna, Pauline, Gertrude, Caroline, Dorothy, Katherine, and Sophie. Survived by children, Janet (DeAngelo) married to Edward Zebner; Larry DeAngelo married to Janet (Rosanio); Robert DeAngelo married to Lynne (Berkowitz); Thomas DeAngelo married to Dorothy (Franey); Joseph DeAngelo married to Macarena (Turcatti-de-Leon); Phyllis (DeAngelo) married to Charles Weible; Rodney DeAngelo and fiancée Carianne Weakland; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and siblings, Alvin, Mildred, Phyllis, and Richard. Emma was a former employee of GTE/Verizon. She was a member of St. Gregory and Barnabas Parish, the Rosary Altar Society, and Ladies Knights of Columbus. For 10 years, Emma volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul food kitchen. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Emma’s memory to St. Gregory and Barnabas Parish.
