Wingard, Garrett Thomas, 24, Johnstown, passed away August 17, 2020.  Born April 4, 1996 in Johnstown; he was the son of Jeffrey D. and Michele T. (Stephenson) Wingard. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Thomas and Annabelle Stephenson. Survived by parents; paternal grandparents, Melvyn and Lois Wingard; sister, Chelsey Wingard and boyfriend Andrew Brendlinger; niece, Taylor Brendlinger; aunts, Rev. Linda Goodwin (Mark); Carol Wilson (Scott), Marcia Allendorfer (Joe), and Brenda Stephenson; uncle, Tom Stephenson (Marsha); and cousins, Kelli and Kirby Deater, Jodi and Jon Billetdeaux, Amanda and Jeremy Kress, Matthew Wilson (Lexi), Jennifer Allendorfer, Melissa Allendorfer, Stephen and Marc Stephenson, Terence Hagans, Marcus and Moriah Blake; and numerous special friends. Garrett was a graduate of Richland High School and attended Pennsylvania Highlands Community College. He was a member of the Richland Volunteer Fire Company and Solomon Run Fireman Club. He was a state certified level 1 and level 2 fire fighter. Garrett also worked at East Hills Ambulance as an EMT. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 10 – 11 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, where a service will follow, Pastor Scott Klimke, officiating. Interment at Richland Cemetery. Due to current COVID restrictions, social distancing and masks will be required. Rest easy my son, your battles are over.
