Grippo, Genevieve Mae, 63, Springfield, VA, passed away August 15, 2022 at home. Born April 21, 1959 to the late Robert and Genevieve Zimmerman. Survived by husband, Louis Grippo; children, Diana Grippo and Eric Grippo; sister, Linda Weaver and husband, Daniel; sister, Ann Wolfinger and husband, Robert; nephews, Scott and Matthew Saloney; sister-in-law, Elaine Dawkins and Husband, Butch; sister-in-law, Roseanne Mangle and husband, Robert; nieces, Jennifer Cocci and Tina Mangle; and mother-in-law, Laura Grippo, widow of Louis Grippo Sr. Genevieve was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Springfield, VA and a past member of Summit Chapel United Methodist Church in Johnstown. She was a caring, dedicated registered nurse and recently retired from the Fairfax County Health Department. She was a great mother who always put her children first. She was generous, kind, and loyal. Gen was dedicated to family and a very spiritual person. She enjoyed gardening and loved nature walks. She loved her cats. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m., Hindman Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., Johnstown, PA 15902, Pastor Nancy Hoover officiating.
