Bango, George, 77, Upper Yoder, passed away April 11, 2016 at his home. Born Dec. 29, 1938 in Franklin Boro, Johnstown, to the late Charles and Minnie (Bosser) Bango. Preceded in death by aunt and uncle, George Bosser and Millie (Bosser) Kusher. Survived by loving wife of 48 years, Nancy (Wigmore) Bango; daughters, Michele (Bango) Corcoran; Lisa Gensler and husband Adam; son, Michael and close friend, Vikki Dillon; grandchildren, Cody, Kathryn, Patrick, and Michael Corcoran; and Elle Gensler; who will all greatly miss their “Papap”. Also survived by brothers and sisters, Tom, Steven, Deborah, and Tina. George served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter mechanic and retired from the Bethlehem Steel Corporation. All of George’s life, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and instilled his respect for the outdoors in his children. George will be missed by loyal companions: Sadie, Ben, Brandy, and Ozy. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing or visitation. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
