Katancik, George F. Sr., 91, Davidsville, died July 2, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center. Born April 14, 1928 to the late Steve and Anna (Lesko) Katancik. Preceded in death by wife, Alice Katancik; son, George Katancik and his wife Patricia; brother, Stephen Katancik; and sister, Ann Kriss. Survived by daughter, Nancy Dessy; son, Jim Katancik and wife Cynthia; four grandchildren; and siblings, Joseph Katancik; Mary Roles; and Virginia Sedilko. George served as a sergeant in the U.S. 20th Air Force, 37^th communications outfit and was a member of the Richland American Legion Post 0849. He retired from Bethlehem Steel, Gautier 14-inch Mill. George was a member of Holy Name Society and Retired Men’s Club. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. A graveside service will be held Saturday July 6 at 10 a.m. at Grandview Cemetery.
