Pellon, Gerald G. (Jerry), 93, of Richland Twp., died Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Westmont Woods Nursing Home. Jerry was born October 19, 1924 in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where he was raised and spent most of his life, before moving to Pennsylvania in 2004. Survived by his loving wife of 18 years, D. Jean Holt-Pellon, his step-children, Nancy Holt Moore and her children, Shawn Moore and Jeff Moore and his wife Jill, and their children Danny & Isabelle, all residing in Johnstown; Dr James Holt  and his wife Heidi and their sons Andrew and Austin of Buford, GA. Jerry was a proud World War II veteran. He was a life member of the Menominee Post 146 American Legion, and a life member of the Menominee Post 1887 V.F.W. He joined the Scott Paper Co. in April 1957 and rose through the ranks to be the Finishing Department Manager, he retired in 1983 at the age of 58. Jerry was a happy go lucky guy, he loved to golf, he loved music, dancing, traveling and was an avid Packers fan, and enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida. At Jerry’s request, there will be no viewing or services here in Johnstown.. He will be returned home to Menominee for a private graveside service, with full military honors.
