Updyke, Glenn D. Jr., 54, Mineral Point, died January 14, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. Born July 8, 1961 in Johnstown, to Glenn D. and Lois J. (Vivis) Updyke Sr.  Preceded in death by father. Survived by mother, Lois; sisters, Patty Rygel and husband Brian; Diane Rhoades and husband Daniel; Kim Updyke, and fiancé, Mike Sokach; numerous nieces and nephews; 7 great nieces and nephews; and best friend, Joanne. Glenn was a graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School. He was employed by Rebekah Manor in Ebensburg as a chef, where he was well loved. Glenn enjoyed cooking, fishing, and shooting pool. At Glenn’s request there will be no viewing. All services will be held privately.
