Thomas, Glenna  S., 74, Hastings, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June  21, 2018, at her home, surrounded by family. She was born October 22, 1943 in Wellsville, OH, a daughter of the late Herman L.  and Freda L. (Joy) Cowdery.  Glenna is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Helen Sours, Wilma Jean Fife, Rhea Douglas, William E. Cowdery and Herman L. Cowdery Jr.; Glenna is survived by her husband of 51 years Alvin H. Thomas, her children, Douglas Thomas (Cindy), Mechanicsburg; Eric Thomas (Julie), Carrolltown; Michelle Snyder (Karl), New Market, MD ; Amy Lowery (Jason), Kingwood, TX; her grandchildren, Brynn, Braden, Evan, Adisyn, Cohen, Ian, Isabell, Hannah, Ryder, Gavin, and Bryson; her brother Melvin Cowdery;  and she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Glenna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt. She adored children, so much so that she ran a daycare out of her home for 20 years.  She loved sewing, baking, cooking, playing cards, and was an avid reader; she enjoyed traveling with friends and family to the beach. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family, and watching her grandchildren participate in sports. Friends will be received on Tuesday June 26, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, 333 Beaver St., Hastings, PA. A visitation will also be held at St. Bernard Church on Wednesday June 27, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11 a.m., the church is located at 148 Beaver St., Hastings, PA. Father Thaddeus Rettger OSB, Officiating. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.  The family wishes to extend a thank you to the staff of Haida Manor, the Hospice staff, and the personal caregivers who cared for Glenna, with a special thank you to Lori for her caring ways.
