Obituary

Swanson, Harold R., 88, Vintondale, died on March 16, 2018 at home.  Born Nov. 29, 1929 in Robindale, PA; son of the late George and Edith (Anderson) Swanson.  Survived by wife, Arlene (Keelan) Swanson; daughters, Lisa Swanson Libby, Nashville, TN; and Molly Ann Metz (Mike), Cincinnati, OH; 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  He was a former coal miner for Vinton Coal and Coke Co. and a self-employed carpenter.  Member of Saint Benedict Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses where a memorial service will be held Monday at 6:30 p.m.  Arrangements in care of Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave., “Exclusive Provider of Veterans & Family Memorial Care,” Condolences may be made at HindmanFuneralHomes.com
