Walker, Harriet “Jean” (Hancock), 76, Johnstown, passed away August 10, 2020 at home. Born July 24, 1944 in Upper Yoder Township. Daughter of the late Ralph and Katherine (Dell) Hancock. Preceded in death by parents; and brothers, Ted and John Hancock. Survived by loving husband, Edward “Ed” Walker, who she met on a blind date. The two married on May 15, 1965 after an 11 month, long distance courtship and have been happily married for the last 55 years. Also survived by daughters, Christine Walker and Denise Willette (Matthew); grandchildren, Samantha, Kyle, Josephine, and Alec; brother, Ralph Hancock (Norma); and sister, Sandra Reddecliff (James). Jean was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and a 1962 graduate of WHHS. She was also a proud Marine Corps. wife who supported her husband throughout his career, in and out of the Corps. She enjoyed reading and doing many crafts such as, ceramics, needlepoint, and crocheting. At the request of the family, services will be private.
