Bair, Harriet L. “Gram” (Jones), 97, Johnstown, passed away January 18, 2020 at Richland Health Care Center. Born in Johnstown December 4, 1922 to the late David R. Jones and Harriet (Stewart) Jones. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harvey F. Bair in 2007; her son, Harvey R. Bair in 2004; daughter Patricia H. Paonessa in 2003; her son George Bair; and her son Jack Bair; 5 sisters; and 3 brothers. Survived by son, Richard J. Bair; son-in-law John Paonessa; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She enjoyed hunting and fishing (in Canada), playing cards, working crossword puzzles, time at the farm, taking care of her dogs and cats. She retired from Kay Artley Dress & Apparel Factory in Johnstown. She will be remembered for her joyful devotion toward her family. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday January 21, 2020 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Road. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday January 22, 2020 at 11 AM, Pastor Nancy Hoover, officiating. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Somerset Humane Society, or the National Audubon Society.
