Harvey James Holsopple went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born September 28, 1939 in Aliquippa, PA, son of Noah and Nancy Holsopple. Preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, LaRue on September 25, 2020; his parents, and his sister, Kathy Wyland. He is survived by his children, Deanna Phillips (Carl), Mark Holsopple, Janna Selfridge (Chris), Denise Ochenrider (Ron); his grandchildren, Lynnea Phillips, Leah Phillips, Luke Phillips (April), CJ Selfridge, Justin Ochenrider; and his siblings, Louise Shaffer, Sharon Wastowicz (Stan), and Ed Holsopple (Donna).

Harvey was a determined man of integrity. He was a long-time member of the Vinco Brethren Church and served on many different committees but is most known for being a deacon and the church treasurer. He not only served the church diligently, he also was passionate about continuing the Holsopple Family Reunion and served for years as the organizer of the annual event. Harvey worked in the composing room of the Tribune Democrat for 36 years. He enjoyed working on his lawn, puzzles, wildlife, travelling, and was a fan of all sports.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private interment ceremony will be held at the Forest Lawn Cemetery for the convenience of the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vinco Brethren Church, 123 Adams Ave, Mineral Point, PA 15942 or the Holsopple Reunion by making checks payable to Brian Shaffer and sent to 11503 Summerton Ct., LaPlata, MD 20646.
