Sutor, Hazel Lucille (Weis), 88, Windber, went home to be with the Lord March 22, 2019 at St. Jude ‘s Haven. Born February 3, 1931 to the late Alfred W., Sr. and Gladys I. (Brumbaugh) Weis. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Anthony J. Sutor, Sr.; and her sister, Grace Holsopple. Survived by her children, Anthony J. Sutor, Jr. (Beth), OH; Linda J. Hartwiger (Jeff), Johnstown; Gary P. Sutor (Lois), OH; Mark E. Sutor, MD; Joseph W. Sutor (Charlene), Hummelstown; grandchildren, Kelsie Stocz (Patrick), Brittany Sutor, Brandie Hartwiger, Rachel Sutor, and Thomas Sutor; her siblings, Alfred W. Weis Jr. (Cheryl), Pittsburgh; and Elizabeth Voytko (James), Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Through her life she worked as a store clerk, telephone operator, and nurse’s aide, but was best known for being a teacher’s aide at East End and Maple Drive Elementary schools in Windber. Shortly after graduating from Windber Area High School she developed an interest in photography, and it became a hobby. She assembled several photo scrapbooks of her best work. Hazel enjoyed arts and crafts and made many holiday decorations to brighten her front door and home. Her artistic flare was also seen through her paintings, she also enjoyed woodworking as evidence she refinished several pieces of furniture, and her kitchen cabinets. Friends and family will be received on Friday April 12, 2019 from 6-8 PM at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday April 13, 2019 at 11 AM at Saints Cyril & Methodius Church, 604 Graham Ave. Windber, PA 15963. Rev. Roderick Soha, officiating.
