Jack P. Haggerty, 90, of Hastings, passed away September 4, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born October 24, 1929 in Bakerton; he was a son of the late Patrick and Minnie (Cribbs) Haggerty. He is preceded in death by five brothers, Carl, George, Bill, Lyndie and Walter; four sisters, Blanch, Myrtle, Jenny, and Margaret; four grandchildren, Matthew, Sean, Kara, and Lindsey. Survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Hazel (Wissinger) Haggerty, who he married November 24, 1950; children, Shirley Adams (Larry), Ernie Haggerty, (Kay), Leanard Haggerty (Virginia), Ken Haggerty (Jen), Joanne Haggerty, Jack Haggerty (Laura), Barb Haggerty, Deb Depto (Ron), Kim Christman (Roger), Randy Haggerty, Joel Broncato (Stacy); 18 grandchildren, Cathy Jo, Steve, Miranda, Autumn, Kelly Jo, Heather, D.J., Brooke, Lance, April, Aaron, Justin, Cory, Meagan, Kayla, Aubree, Lucas, and Emily; 22 great grandchildren, Sophia, Jacob, Olivia, Lillian, Brian, Xander, Julie, Abigail, Tesla, Isabella, Liam, McKenzie, Holden, Dominik, Aaron Michael II, Beckett, Archer, Roman, Hunter, Max, Tanner, Trevor; brothers, Dan and John Haggerty.  Jack was a lifelong Coal Miner. He retired from Bethlehem Mine 32. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Uniontown, PA; life member of Hasting Fire Club, and the United Mine Workers Association.  There will be no viewing. A celebration of Jack’s life will be held on his birthday October 24, 2020, time and location will be announced later.
