Flinton, PA – James D. McFadden, 83, of Flinton passed away Monday May 30, 2022 at Altoona Center for Nursing Care.

Born November 10, 1938, in Trenton, NJ; he was a son of the late Mark and Alice (Carson) McFadden. Also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lou Tamnagni.

Survived by his wife, Judy (Wyckoff) McFadden, whom he married September 5, 1959, sons, Michael M. (JoAnn) McFadden of Grapeville; Mathew M. McFadden of Flinton, Mitchell M. (Debbie) McFadden of West Elizabeth; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and five great – great grandchildren.

Jim was a 1959 graduate of Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades. He served in the Marine Corps reserves.  Jim was a Field Engineer for Bailey Controls Company in Cleveland, OH for 40 years. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Patton. He was Past Master of the Chester Masonic Lodge #236; Past Master of Coalport Lodge #574 Member of the Jaffa Shrine and Highlander Bagpipes. He enjoyed wood carving, model airplanes and RC Plane Pilot. He also taught power plant operations for many years.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
