Wyant, James, 84, Johnstown, died October 4, 2019 at his home. Born December 22, 1934 to the late Jacob and Effie (Foust). Preceded in death by two siblings; and brothers-in-law, Bill Weicht; and Charles O’Shea. Survived by wife of 53 years, Joan (Strashensky); daughters, Jacqueline McLean and husband Larry; Mary Edwards and husband Ron; grandchildren, Donald and Brian McLean; Keith Scott; Doug Ohler; eight great granddaughters; one great grandson; and siblings, Ken and wife Geraldine; Harold and wife Delores; Evelyn Weicht; Donna Felix and husband Bruce; Helen O’Shea; and Clyde and wife Judy. James was a truck driver for Merlo Trucking and later retired from M & C Trucking. He was a member of United Mine Workers and enjoyed gardening and taking care of his lawn. Viewing will be held Monday October 7 from 5-7 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude.
