Obituary

Angello, James R. “Jim”, 85, of Johnstown, passed away on December 4, 2023. Born December 10, 1938, to the late Ross and Doris (McTigue) Angello. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Mary (); children, James T. Angello (Mary) and Lisa McKay (John); grandchildren, Luke, Liam, Diana, and Joseph Angello and Brian and Mark McKay; and great-grandson, Braydon McKay. Jim graduated from Franklin High School and Monroe Technical School of Business. He spent many years on Wall Street in the banking industry and most recently was employed by the Bank of New York. Upon Jim’s retirement, he and Mary returned back to Johnstown. Jim was very active in his church life, especially with the choir. He was also very interested in WWII and enjoyed collecting memorabilia involving local veterans. Jim was very civic-minded and proud of his community and his involvement in it. He was in an Armor Division of the National Guard. Jim loved hunting and animals, especially his cat, Murphy. A service will be held Saturday, December 9th at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Chapel, 1530 Frankstown Rd., Johnstown, PA 15902. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Salvation Army or Interfaith Community Food Pantry in Jim’s honor.
