Obituary

Hooper, James R. -75, Johnstown, died June 4, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 19, 1944 in Johnstown.  Son of Robert E. and Rose Mary (Hill) Hooper.  Preceded in death by parents. Survived by his wife of 41 years, Judith M. (Borstnar) Hooper; children, James R. Hooper Jr. ( April),  Tracy Miller (Frank), Alisha Hooper (Dave), Christopher Hooper (Jessica), and Melissa Jo; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, as well as numerous other members of his extended family. James served our country in the United States Navy. He was a retired coal miner from local #1257 and was also employed by JWF Industries for several years. At his request there will be no services.
