Obituary

On Wednesday September 9th, Janet Cobaugh went peacefully to be with the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother (Gigi), sister, and aunt. Her favorite ways to spend her time were being outside in the fresh air on her deck with her beloved family and cheering on her Steelers with her Terrible Towel. She will be remembered for her humor, her sharp wit, and her kind heart. She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, John Cobaugh; her daughters, Chris Varner and husband Greg; and Kathy Sankey and husband Bob; her grandsons, Justin Yurkovich; Daniel Davidson; and Nathan Davidson, and their families; brother, Herbert “Herbie” Bracken and wife Betty; sisters, Barbara Layton; Sue Ann Poley and husband Charles Sr. “Chuck”; and loving great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by brother, Milford “Mel” Bracken; and sister, Mary Margert “Sissy” Plowman and husband Dean. It was her wish that instead of a formal service, that she be cherished in the hearts of her loved ones and remembered in her best days. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the BrightFocus foundation in her honor.
