Gillin, Janice D. “Janie”, 77, Johnstown, went home to be with the Lord on July 23, 2019, at Memorial Medical Center.  Born August 13, 1941, in Conemaugh, daughter of the late Stanley and Gertrude (Holland) Barkley. Preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Faye Loushe, Gayle Rokash, Thomas Barkley, and Judith Hinton. Survived by her husband of 58 years, Larry W. Gillin; her children, Mark W. Gillin, Atlanta, GA; Tracy D. Givelekian, Medina, OH; Keith W. Gillin (Anne), Wadsworth, OH; her grandchildren, Kara Gillin-Stevens (Robert), Colin Gillin, Hope Givelekian, Chase Givelekian, Nathan Gillin, Julia Gillin, and Ella Gillin; her great grandchildren, Connor, Kelcie, and Carson; her siblings, Richard Barkley, Johnstown; Sandra Thomas, Johnstown: David Barkley, Seattle, WA; her daughter- in-law, Shari Gillin and her son-in-law Keith Givelekian; and is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other members of extended family. Janie was first and foremost a devoted child of God strong in her faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.  Janie enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and going to the senior center. Her favorite hobbies included making crafts, knitting and crocheting. She loved baking, and her grandkids loved it even more. At Janie’s request, there will be no services.
