Starsick, Jennifer Louise Elizabeth (Wojnaroski), 61, passed away unexpectedly June 4, 2022 at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV. Born January 12, 1961 in Johnstown. Daughter of Frank and Regina Louise Wojnaroski. Preceded in death by parents; maternal grandparents, James and Annie Dorer; and paternal grandparents, Andrew and Mary Wojnaroski. Survived by her closest relative, her cousin/“big sister”, Cheryl Hess Brush (Bill); their sons, Jonathan Brush (Kara) of Fort Defiance, VA and Joel Brush (Alexis) of Culpepper, VA; Jonathan and Kara’s children, Kaitlyn, Caleb, Ashleigh, Braden, Karianne, and Annaleigh; other nieces, nephews, and cousins; her sweet cat, Tigger; as well as her Charleston family and friends. Jennifer attended St. Patrick School in Johnstown and was a 1979 graduate of Bishop McCort High School. She graduated from West Virginia University, School of Journalism, in Morgantown, WV in 1983 where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. As a proud graduate of WVU, she loved supporting the athletic teams, whether through attending the games or watching locally with friends. She was a member of the YMCA and a former member of the Charleston Junior League and the Charleston Tennis Club. Jennifer worked for the Charleston Gazette Mail for 30 years and was currently employed by FEMA, a job that she loved, bringing her great joy by helping others. She was an avid reader and was always sharing something she had just read that she thought someone else would enjoy. She was also a world traveler and looked forward to every new journey. Whether in Europe or cruising the Caribbean, each trip was an adventure to be anticipated, savored, and then remembered with joy. She had just recently returned from a cruise with a dear friend up the Mississippi River. She dearly loved coming home to Johnstown or to her family in Virginia for every holiday. Jennifer’s innate ability to make friends everywhere and her love for her family and friends is what we will all remember. Everywhere Jennifer went you soon heard laughter, and her laugh is unforgettable. Jennifer took all the experiences of her life, both the good and the bad, and chose to embrace them into a love that shone forth wherever she went. Family and friends will be received Monday, June 27th from 3-7 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Home, 1521 Frankstown Rd., Johnstown, PA 15902. Family and friends will also be received Tuesday June 28th, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at Elton Zion United Methodist Church, Elton PA, Pastor Daryl Penrod, officiating, with private interment to follow. Arrangements in care of Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., “Exclusive Provider of Veterans and Family Memorial Care.” Condolences may be made at HindmanFuneralHomes.com
