Obituary

Gallo, John, 88, Johnstown, died February 8, 2018 at the Lutheran Home. Born August 3, 1929 in Johnstown; son of the late John Sr. and Anna (Mastko) Gallo. Preceded in death by brothers, Paul and Joe Gallo; sisters, Ann Sotak, Mary Stoner, Sue Germek, Margaret Gallo, Irene Robb, and Yolanda Haywood. Survived by wife, Mary (Duray); children, Mark Gallo married to Betsy (Boone), and grandson, Paul Gallo, South Riding, VA; also, numerous nieces and nephews and large extended family. Retired Draftsman for Bethlehem Steel Corp and H F Lenz Co. He received an associate degree from the Spring Garden Institute of Technology. He served in the Army and was a Korean War Veteran. John was an active member of Westmont United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and working outside. Friends received Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. Funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Westmont United Methodist Church, Rev.
