Obituary

States, John “Lynn”, 92, Johnstown, died April 21, 2015 at home. Born in 1923 to the late Daniel and Mary (Marks) States. Preceded in death by sisters, Edna Parks and Mildred Thayer; brothers, Charles and James States; and stepson, Ronald Grenell Jr. Survived by beloved wife of 35 years, Carole (Burrell); son Alan States; stepchildren, Vicki Jakubac, (Frank); Pamela Gleto, (David); Douglas Grenell, (Susan); Karan Rush, (Michael); 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Merl States, (Jeanne); David States, (Joyce); and sisters, Geneva Williams and Jean Fulton. John was a World War II Army Veteran, life member of VFW, and a former employee of Flood City Brass and Electric Company. At Lynn’s request there will be no viewing. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum.
