Quinn, John P. “Jack”, 95, of Central City, passed away on May 15, 2023, at home. Born January 9, 1928, son of the late Harry P. and Bertha Mae Quinn. Predeceased by parents; first wife, Shirley Mae (Tibbens) Quinn; and step-grandson, Cameron Kelly. Left behind to carry on the Quinn name is son, Brian (Shirley) Quinn; grandchildren, Sean (Kari) Quinn and Erin (Ronnie) Herbert; great-grandchildren, Silas, Sloan, Mason, Charlotte, and Callie; stepchildren, Tom (Angie) Kelly, Joseph (Lisa) Kelly Sr., and Patty Kelly; step-grandchildren, Joseph (Shannon) Kelly Jr., T.J., Allie, and Anna; and great grandchild, Joseph S. Kelly. Also survived by his beloved wife of over 30 years, Janet B. (Kelly) Quinn. John served in the Seabees in the Navy from January 1945 to December 1948, where he rebuilt Quam with the construction battalion. John worked in construction, mostly building bridges. He was a retired operating engineer, from Thomas A. Mekis Company, where he ran cranes most of the time. John was also a member, for over 60 years of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He was one of the few people who you met in life’s journey that truly LOVED his job. John was dedicated to God and his family.
