Pietron, John Jr. 93, Johnstown, passed away January 4, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center. Born April 30, 1926 in Franklin Boro. Son of the late John and Agnes (Hebda) Pietron. Last surviving member of his family. Preceded in death by loving wife, Anna Marie (Carino) Pietron; son, Richard; brothers Stanley, Frank, Walter, Edward, Ted, Anthony; and sister, Verne Johnston. Survived by children, John M. (Jacklyn) Pietron III; Marlene (Stanley) Krawczyk; David (Janet) Pietron; sister-in-law, Suzanne Pietron; grandchildren, Jeremy Pietron; Jennifer (Jim) Wachter; Theresa Krawczyk; Melissa (Dave) Kane; Jessica (Steven) Brewer; David (Becca) Pietron; Christopher (Justina) Pietron; Rich (Cassie) Pietron; and Matthew Pietron; great grandchildren, Alyssa (Nathan) Buzzard, Faith, Alexis, Tyler, Abby, Mason, Brayden, Logan, David, Daniel, Dylan, Harper, Hailey, Caleb, Carson; great-great granddaughter, Leonna; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was a proud member of the US Army, serving in WWII and an active member of VFW Menoher Post 155. Member of St. Benedict Church and retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. John loved being with his family, enjoyed watching football and baseball and being outdoors, sitting on the swing for hours. Friends and family will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Benedict Church, 2310 Bedford St. Committal St. Anthony’s Cemetery, military honors by VFW Menoher Post 155 Ritual Team.
