Mastillo, John R. Sr., 69, Jerome, went into the arms of Jesus February 19, 2019 at Windber Hospice. Born June 3, 1949 to the late John and Nora (McClemens) Mastillo. Preceded in death by brother, Ronald McClemens. Survived by wife of 51 years, Wanda (Ashbrook) Mastillo; son, John Mastillo Jr. (Regina); Michael Mastillo (Karen); grandchildren, Jacob, Jared, and Kylie; sister, Alice Mastillo; nephew, Shawn Mastillo; numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. John was a distinguished public servant for 28 years as a police officer. Upon retirement, he was a Deputy Sheriff of Somerset County and Deputy Warden of the prison. John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was committed to his family and making sure that all knew of support to achieve their highest potential. John will be truly missed but never forgotten. At John’s request, there will be no services.
