Obituary

Handel, John William “Bill”, 66, Portage, died December 27, 2018 at Maple Winds Care Center. Born July 22, 1952 to the late John and Verna (Pikus) Handel. Survived by sister, Lena Voss; niece, Ann wife of Matthew Gorzelsky; great nephew, Matty Gorzelsky; and numerous cousins and friends. Bill served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. He was a member of the Portage VFW Post 895 and a member of the Jamestown Rod and Gun Club. Bill was an avid fisherman and was last employed by J-Lok, Cresson PA. At Bill’s request there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at a later date and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
