Obituary

Rhoa, Joseph L., 67, Hastings, went to be with the Lord March 8, 2016 at Miners Hospital. He was born January 22, 1949 in Spangler. Son of Raphael and Mary Ruth (Endler) Rhoa. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Virginia (Thomas), his children, Virginia A. Rhoa-Wagner, Johnstown; Raphael L. Rhoa, Hastings; John J. Rhoa, Hastings; and Fredrick B. Rhoa, Hastings; he is also survived by his sister Frances Rhoa, Hastings; and his favorite buddy, his dog Askem. Joseph served in the United States Army, and was a custodial technician for the Cambria Heights School District. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, St. Boniface. Father Thaddeus Rettger officiating. Inurnment will be at St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Joe’s memory to the Cambria County Humane Society, or St. Boniface Catholic Church.
