Beers Sr., Kenneth J., 71, Johnstown, passed away at home on Febuary 27, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born September 23, 1945, Cloe, son of the late Helen (Beers) Wolfgang. Preceded in death by his brother, Larry Beers. Survived by his wife, Diane M. (Shaffer); children, Kenneth J. Beers, Jr. and wife Amy, De Young; Kelly Wiggins and husband James, NC; Deborah Farrow and husband, Gilbert Sr., NC; Shawn Kelly and wife, Jackie, MD; sister, Judith Fairman, Marion Center; grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Noah, Katlyn, Gilbert Jr., and Allison. Kenneth served in both the US Marine Corps and US Army for over 20 years. He enjoyed T.V. gameshows and going out to eat. Friends will be received Thursday, March 2 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m., Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., Rev. Jerry Zuvers, officiating.
