Obituary

Wyant, Kenneth Ray Sr., 86, of Windber, formally of Cairnbrook went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 31, 2023. Born November 3, 1937, in Shanksville, PA. The son of the late Jacob and Effie (Foust) Wyant. Also preceded in death by daughter, Lynne; brothers, James, Harold, Clyde and Gary; sisters, Betty and a stillborn sister. He is survived by his wife Geraldine (Pfeilsticker) Wyant. This breaks a marriage union of 68 years. Also survived by daughters, Cathy Barta of Somerset, Ellen (Russel) of Cairnbrook, Lisa Shaw (Charles) of Cairnbrook; son, Kenneth Jr. (Tammy) of somerset; there are eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; there is also three estranged sisters; numerous nieces and nephews; special niece Mary (Ron) Edwards. Kenneth was a United Mine Workers Association Member of 6410. He was a truck driver and Hi-Lift operator for Reitz Coal Company. He retired in 1999 from Straw Construction where he was a truck driver also. At Kenneth’s request the services will be private.
