Kimberly R. Maur (Alter), 62 Died unexpectedly at home October 31, 2023. Born May 18. 1961 in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Larry L. Alter Sr. and Margaret Smithley. Proceeded in death by her son Gary Michael Thornton and sister Donna Jean Alter. Survived by boyfriend Thomas Penrod, children Jennifer Thornton and Cassandra Thornton (Ohio). Brothers, Larry L. Alter Jr. and Robert Smithley. Sisters, Patty Martin, Laurie Wagner, and Holly Alter and also numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Kim loved crocheting, playing bingo, keno, and putting together puzzles. At the families request, there will be no viewing or funeral. A celebration of life will be schedule at a later date.
