Ranck, Larry Joe, 85, Barnesboro, died Monday, April 8, 2019, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born October 23, 1934 in Clymer, PA. Son of the late Harry L. Ranck and Josephine Smith Henry. He was married to Dolly Lombardo for 50 years; she preceded him in death on February 12, 2006. Larry is also preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry A. Ranck Sr., and John “Jack” Ranck, both of Barnesboro Surviving are his son, Russell Ranck, Loretto; daughter, Robin de Koning and her husband Chris, Altoona; son, Joe Perott and five grandsons, Sterling, VA; his sister , Susan (Ranck) Dahlin, and her family, Texas. Larry was a newspaper editor, printer, and photographer for the family newspaper, The Barnesboro Star for more than 60 years, before he retired. One thing he and his wife Dolly loved was raising German Shepard’s together for many years. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing or service.
