Konchan, Larry L., 77, died July 13, 2014 at Laurelwood, Johnstown.
Born February 22, 1937 in Johnstown; he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Markum) Konchan. Preceded in death by brother, Leo Konchan and nephew, Kim Konchan.
Survived by loving wife of 33 years, Dotti (Otwaski) Konchan. Also survived by a brother, Edward and wife Lois, son, Jeffrey and wife Kelley, and daughters, Keri and husband Rick, Amy and husband Mark, and Shelle and late husband Bill; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Larry wrote specifications for and designed various mechanical systems for plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, electrical, sewage treatment and civil site work. He worked for various engineering firms.
He was inventor of the “Bait Belt Buddy” in 1995. He loved the outer banks, NC and fresh water fishing of all types.
There will be no viewing.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
He will be deeply missed by all whom knew him, especially his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, special friends and many business associates.
