Obituary

Lopez, Larry Lawrence Sr., 76, passed away unexpectedly at his home January 15, 2018. Born May 13, 1941, in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Alexie and Isabelle Margaret (Toups) Lopez Sr. Preceded in death by son, Larry L. Lopez Jr. Survived by wife, Diane (Grattan) Johnstown; daughters, Carlene Singleton and husband Larry; Connie Anselmo and husband Anthony Sr.; siblings, Patricia Poole and husband Virgil; Richard Lopez; Alexie Lopez Jr. and wife Ann; grandchildren, Spencer and Trevor Singleton; Anthony Jr. and Victoria Anselmo, all of Texas; beloved canine, Harry; in-laws, Francis and Glory Grattan; sister-in-law, Karen Walker; niece, Francesca Walker; numerous other nieces and nephews; and the many friends and neighbors who supported Larry during his extended illness. Larry enjoyed his independent paint contracting business in both Texas and Pennsylvania. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Larry was a mean card player and a great cook. Friends will be received Thurs. Jan. 18 from 4-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Fri. at St. Clement Church, Lindberg Ave. Rev. William E. Rosenbaum, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to YWCA, 526 Somerset St. Johnstown PA 15901 or Cambria County Humane Society, 743 Galleria Drive Extension, Johnstown, PA 15904.
