Novotney, Lawrence “Larry” Stephen, 87, Markleton, passed away May 23 at home. Born January 27, 1934 to the late Stephen and Mildred E. (Krulia)(Marmura)  Novotney. Preceded in death by son Mark L. Novotney and sister Irene Sidick. Survived by his loving wife of 74 years Mary (Renzi) Novotney; his son Erik L. Novotney; grandchildren Tyler, Bayleigh, Kevin, Daisy; nieces, Bonita Sidick, Holly Sidick and Nephews, Art Sidick, Daivd Sidick. Larry proudly served our country in the Marine Corps as a Corporal from 1951 to 1953, where he received the Korean Service Metal, UN service Medal (Korea) and a Purple Heart Medal. He was a member of the VFW Post 7250 and the American Legion in Somerset county. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
