95, Hastings, went to be with the Lord February 12, at Conemaugh -Good Samaritan Hospital. Born October 21, 1921, in Hastings, son of the late Raymond  and Sarah (Rodgers) Kline. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 61 years Julia L. (Dillon); his children, infant son Eugene, Daughter Nancy Woods, Son Ken, Son in law Wil Dooley; his siblings, Bernie Kline, Martha Yeckley, and Bob Kline; sister-in-laws Jo Kline, Cecilia Kline, Ruth Kline, brother-in-law Don Cunningham. Survived by his children, Jim Kline (Donna),  Karen Dooley, Larry Kline (Debbie), Allen Kline (Patty), Dale Kline (Barb) daughter-in-law Wanda Kline, 23 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; his siblings, Bill Kline, Theresa Cunningham; and his brother-in-law Floyd Yeckley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Leo was a WWII Veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Brumbaugh Body Company where he served as their General Manager of the fire truck division, he was also the sole owner of Fire Equipment sales and Service, and was a past proprietor of R A Kline & Sons Lumber Company. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1586, dedicated active life member of Hastings Volunteer Fire Company, member of Volunteer Firemen’s Association of Cambria County, Central District Volunteer Firemens Association and Firemans Association of the State of PA. His family and the fire service was his life, he started in the fire service at the age of 14, and over the 80 years of fire service he worked his way up through the ranks, he held multiple officers positions in the fire department including, Chief of the Hastings Volunteer Fire Company for 16 years. He was a former President of the Hastings Senior Citizens, and also a former President of the Hastings Municipal Authority. He enjoyed building model trains, woodworking, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Family and friends will be received on Friday 2/17/17 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, 333 Beaver St., Hastings, PA. Visitation at St Bernard Church Saturday 2/18/17 @ 10:00 – 10:45 am. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday 2/18/17 at 11 am at St. Bernard Catholic Church. Father Thaddeus Rettger, OSB officiating. Interment will be at St Bernard Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Hastings VFW Post #1586 at the church.
