Linda Lee (Hileman) Reininger, 74, passed away January 13, 2023. Born January 28, 1948, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Cooper) Hileman. Preceded in death by parents; husband, James; and daughter-in-law, Heather. Survived by children, Tammy married to Michael McKinney; Beth married to Raymond Walukas; Scott married to Nicole (Tomasic); grandchildren, Melinda Hamby; Ryan McKinney; Stephen Reininger; Jessica and Danielle Walukas; Emily, Remi, Penelope, and Fiona Reininger; great-grandson, Slater; and brother, Raymond Hileman. Linda was a 1965 graduate of Johnstown High School. She was a stay-at-home mom until her youngest was in school. Linda eventually studied to become an ordained minister in the Church of the Brethren. She would later serve as the pastor for several area churches and the chaplain for both Conemaugh Hospital and the Church of the Brethren Home. Linda passed away on January 13, 2023, but she stopped truly living after having a stroke in November of 2015. Her health would continue to decline over the next seven years until she would be faced with the diagnosis of stage 4 cancer. In her final days, she was heard saying, “I’m coming Jim.” She is now reunited with her husband of 54 years. Linda will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but there is solace in knowing she is at peace.
