Horst, Linette G., 70, Dauphin, passed away January 7, 2022 surrounded by her family and friends. Born January 5, 1952 in Three Springs, PA she was the daughter of the late James Deter and Dixie Lee Whitsel. Linn was preceded in death by brother, Landis B. Whitsel. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Horst; daughter, Kara R. Mowry, Mechanicsburg; grandson, Stanley J. Mowry, Camp Hill; granddaughters, Kamryn A., Kaylee R., Klaudia L., and Karina T. Horst, Piketown and numerous close friends. Linn was a beautiful, loving, and devoted wife, a wonderful mother and grandmother, a dedicated sister and a loyal friend. She was one of Harrisburg’s most talented and incredibly popular hair and nail stylist, with her own salon, SHEAR ACTION by Linn. She was everyone’s favorite “free” seamstress and a long-time talented potter, specializing in unique handbuilt creations. Linn had many talents but one that many were able to enjoy was her ability to see colors, furniture, clothing and designed it just for you. In addition, she created floral decorations for all holidays for many of her friends. She was a home cook, second to none.
