Courter, Lois C., 88, Johnstown, died Dec. 6, 2017 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born Dec. 15, 1928 to the late George R. and Blanche (Rager) Bach. Preceded in death by husband of 52 years, John E.; infant children, Gary and Peggy; and siblings, Rev. Francis T. Bach; Elaine Myers; and Nancy Rummel. Survived by son, Kerry E. Courter (Jolene Yvanek); grandchildren, Kristopher Courter (Nicole Williams); Jamie Courter (John McCombie); great grandchildren, Joe, Dylan, Chris, Logan, Claire, Shjonny, Gianna, Kaeli; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lois was a hard worker and retired as a pharmacy technician from Lee Hospital. She was a fantastic cook and baker and loved collecting recipes. During the spring and summer months, Lois enjoyed planting and caring for her outdoor flowers. Lois was a faithful woman, devoted to bible scriptures. She loved her family, animals, and spending time with her many friends. Friends will be received Sunday Dec. 10 from 1-4 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., as well as on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Pastor John Hollis, officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Johnstown SPCA.
